A Bold Transformation Is Underway in Downtown Tulane
The former Tulane Medical Center is being transformed into the Downtown Campus Center — a dynamic hub for connection, collaboration and innovation. Located on Tulane Avenue, the 750,000-square-foot facility will serve as the central gathering place for the downtown campus.
The building's two wings, the Aron Pavilion and the Reily Pavilion, are being reimagined to support education, research and community engagement, with spaces designed for today's learners and tomorrow's leaders.
This effort is part of a broader vision to create a thriving downtown district that advances scientific discovery, drives economic growth and expands opportunity. By revitalizing historic structures while building for the future, the project honors the heritage of New Orleans while contributing to its continued evolution.

Tulane receives $17.2 million from alumna for geriatric medicine and research
A $17.2 million gift from Newcomb College alumna Myrna L. Daniels will fund geriatric and healthy aging initiatives, clinical research, a faculty chair in geriatrics, and capital improvements at Tulane School of Medicine, one of the nation’s oldest and most respected medical schools.
