Mussafer Internship Initiative

The Mussafer Internship Initiative is a bold, university-wide objective that enables every Tulane undergraduate student to have access to a high-quality, paid internship experience. Through Tulane-facilitated internships, students receive comprehensive guidance and support from the Career Services team throughout the entire process. This includes help identifying opportunities, pre-internship preparation, and post-internship reflection to help them make the most of their experience. The initiative also focuses on building new partnerships with employers and expanding the number of internships available, so that every student can find an opportunity that aligns with their interests and goals.

Giving Opportunities

Gifts of any size to the Mussafer Internship Initiative help power the full scope of this initiative, from sourcing new internships to supporting students through every stage of the experience. Contributions of any amount are welcome and make a direct impact on students’ career journeys.

A $5,000 gift supports a student in a minimally paid internship where additional financial assistance is needed beyond what the employer can provide. This funding helps remove financial barriers so students can pursue meaningful, career‑building opportunities, whether in public service, high‑cost locations, or other settings where additional expenses are required to complete an internship.
